Different Types Of Music Videos

Performance Based-

Mumford and Sons- I Will Wait

This video is performanced based due to the way that the main focus of the video is based on a live show and shows both the band and audience's reaction to what they are seeing. The Video Starts with a montage type feeling, By Showing Different parts of "The Road To red Rocks". The video uses a varying amount of speed within these shots, the first shot being almost a still image, then it speeds up when it shows the montage clips, then returns back to another still image. The video consists of a wide rage of close ups, to show the use of the instruments. The opening shot of the concert is a long shot, of the croud.

This shows the long shot from the stage of the crowd.

Narrative Based-

Justin Bieber- As Long As You Love Me
This video is a prime example of a Narrative based music video, this can be shown by the way that the producers of the video used the well known actoer Michael Manson, which also makes people more aware that it is a narrativer based video. The music video starts with a trakcing shot of Michael Manson, it then shows a low angled shot, to show that he could possibly contain the upper hand within the music video ahead. The music video is narrative based because Justin Bieber doesn't directly sing to the audience of the music video.

This is the opening shot of the video, this automatically shows Michael Manson, and instantly shows the narrative content of the video.
